Giving Back

We’re passionate about historic preservation and helping connect people to incredible experiences in and around our historic properties. Our preservation mission is ultimately about people - sharing the stories of the people who built the world we inhabit today, inspiring people who interact with this history today, and stewarding places that matter for future generations to continue to enjoy. The properties we’re privileged to steward are also places of importance to the communities who surround them. We’re honored to be able to give back to our neighbors in Southern Vermont and beyond through donations, events, and more.

Donations

We are happy to be able to provide donations of stays at our historic properties and products from The Landmark Trust USA and Scott Farm for the benefit of the community.

If your organization would like to request a donation for your auction or other event, please complete the form below and return to jebersole@landmarktrustusa.org. Requests are reviewed regularly, and a limited number are available each fiscal year (July-June). In order to help as many organizations as possible, donations may not be given to the same organization in consecutive years. Priority will be given to organizations with aligned missions, local impact, and those reaching underrepresented populations.

The Landmark Trust USA and Scott Farm see our historic properties as important contributors to our communities, and we’re proud to use them to make our Southern Vermont home a great place to live, work, and play. Each summer Scott Farm hosts a number of Crépe Nights, with the proceeds benefiting a different local nonprofit each month. Thousands of dollars have been donated to organizations like Putney Foodshelf, Food Connects, Groundworks Collaborative, Windham County Humane Society, Rockingham Arts & Museum Project, and more.

Our properties have also provided space for the arts to enrich our community, providing venues for musical performances, theater, and more.
