Cross-Country Skiing and Snowshoeing at Amos Brown House

Sunday morning the 5th, the thermometer hit minus 20, giving us clear blue skies and sparkling snow, so we took our two dogs and decided to tour near the Amos Brown House. In some places, the snow had a wind crust. In others it was deep, light, and fluffy.

We gave the dogs a chance to follow snowshoes and skis, but they preferred the porch.

It was a great outing and warmed to 9 degrees! The only thing missing was a large steamy cup of hot chocolate…next time, we will plan ahead.
