Sugar Season Events
We have 2 extra sweet events planned for Sugar Season this year, and they’re about as Vermonty as can be!
First, our free annual property Open House tradition continues on Saturday, April 1 when we welcome you to tour The Sugarhouse, our beautifully restored 1915 sugarhouse usually only open to overnight guests. You can learn about the property’s history and restoration, explore the sugaring process, sample some treats, and even take home your own bottle of Vermont maple syrup. And don’t miss our raffle for your chance to win 1 free night stay!
The following Wednesday, April 5, plan to join us at Next Stage in Putney or virtually from the comfort of your couch, as Champlain College professor Michael Lange presents “The Many Meanings of Maple in Vermont.” Lange will discuss sugaring ethnographically, based on over 5 years of research among sugarmakers all over the state, to learn from them what sugaring really means to Vermont.
Call us sappy, but we can’t wait to see you!
