Greetings from the Board President
I am pleased to report that three new board members were elected at the Landmark Trust USA annual board meeting in early August. All three come with a background in historic preservation and skills that will add to the professional depth of the governing body.
Chris Hart has the shortest distance to travel, having been a Windham County resident for many years, and brings expertise in planning, project development, and finance from her years as director of the Brattleboro Housing Authority (now Partnerships). Chris has spearheaded major projects, especially after Tropical Storm Irene.

Charles Janson grew up in Shelburne, Vermont, but now resides in Darien, Connecticut. Charles works as a lawyer for Robinson & Cole, specializing in common interest community law, real estate and development, and land use restrictions adjacent to historic sites. He serves on the Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation and is a member of the Weir Farm Art Center board.
Erin Fink comes to the board from Connecticut as well, where she works as an Architectural Preservationist for the Connecticut State Historic Preservation Office, overseeing applications to the Historic Restoration Fund and the Historic Tax Credit programs. She has also served as the Trust’s Communication and Advocacy manager, serving as their primary spokesperson while managing a wide range of social and print media platforms.
It is clear that all three new members are deeply committed to the organization and have fully immersed themselves in the work of the committees to which they have been assigned. We look to the future with great optimism, even with COVID-19 still front and center.
