Your donation helps The Landmark Trust USA acquire, restore, and maintain historically important properties across New England. Our unique stewardship model protects historic properties for future generations. Because The Landmark Trust USA is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Your donation supports…
Making upgrades and renovations to our historic properties to better serve our guests and acquiring new properties in need of our attention. We know that an understanding of history is best gained through personal experience. To this end, we provide unique ways for people to experience history through the meticulous preservation of historic properties and the development of creative ways for the public to enjoy them.

While short-term vacation rentals defray a major portion of the operating and maintenance costs of our historic properties, we rely on private gifts to help us address major capital repairs and property improvements. Thanks to our supporters, The Landmark Trust USA has been able to make technological upgrades, including energy-efficient boilers to reduce our carbon footprint.
With your continued generosity, we plan to expand our work and rescue more historic properties that have been neglected and fallen into disrepair.
Your support allows us to offer creative place-based educational programming for the local community – students and adults alike – from Dummerston and beyond. Our school programs have reached more than 7,000 students since 2002.
Each guest who books a vacation rental in one of our beautiful historic properties also gives invaluable support that allows us to continue our important mission work.
Please make your secure, tax-deductible gift today. Thank you!
If you’re not able to donate online, please contact Susan McMahon, Executive Director, at (802) 254-6868 or mail a check to: 707 Kipling Road, Dummerston, VT 05301.
“Naulakha is a treasure…it is easy to see why this was one of the two favorite places in the world Rudyard Kipling wanted to live.
The house and grounds are a place of enchantment, and our grandchildren will have memories to last a lifetime.”
