Connect with The Landmark Trust USA’s Scott Farm for the most up-to-date list of What’s Happening Down on the Farm. With Landmark Trust’s historic Vermont vacation properties to rent on or near the farm, you can stay in comfort with family or friends and walk or drive to seasonal workshops in peach tart and apple pie baking, pruning and grafting, stonewalling, or hard cider making. We will also let you know about our annual fruit tree sale
Our What’s Happening Down on the Farm events list will give you heads up to reserve a seat or table for ten at our popular Heirloom Apple Harvest Dinner when we serve up heritage apples with every course. Savor Ashmead’s Kernel or Orleans Reinette with artisanal Vermont cheeses; a mesclun salad featuring our own dried Dolgo crabapples with slivers of pear-flavored Hudson’s Golden Gem and Vermont Butter & Cheese goat cheese tossed in our heirloom apple cider reduction vinaigrette. Entrees in the past have included Vermont-raised chicken or pork braised in heirloom apple cider and if you are lucky Chef Toleno’s absolutely delicious stew made of locally raised rabbit and Esopus Spitzenburg apples (Thomas Jefferson’s favorite apple).
